International Conference on Internet of things and Cloud Computing
Abstract
The volume contains the proceedings of the international conference on Internet of things and Cloud Computing (ICC'2016). The international conference on Internet of things and Cloud Computing (ICC'2016) represents an ideal opportunity for the students and the researchers from both industrial and academic domains having as main objective to present their latest ideas and research results in any one of the ICC'2016 topics.
Due to the fast development of the cloud computing and the computer science technology, the researchers are more attracted to combine the Internet of things (IoT) and the cloud computing. The Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm is based on intelligent and self-configuring nodes (things) interconnected in a dynamic and global network infrastructure. It is considered as one of the most disruptive technologies which make the ubiquitous and pervasive computing scene. Internet of things refers to the real world and to little things limited storage and processing ability. It also refers to the main problems concerning reliability, performance, security and privacy. In the other hand, cloud computing has the almost unlimited capacities of storage and processing power which is a more mature technology that may solve the problems of most of the Internet of things technologies.
ICC'2016 aims to provide a forum for (the) scientists to present their latest research results and perspectives for future works in the IoT and Cloud Computing fields. The conference is a scientific event which gathered leading researchers and practitioners who presented their ideas to more than 100 attendees. Attendees have provided high quality contributions reviewed by a program committee featuring renowned international experts on a broad range of knowledge management topics. 192 papers were submitted to the ICC'2016 conference from authors of many countries and continents. Two or three reviewers were assigned to each paper and according to these reviews, 76 papers were accepted with makes acceptance rate of 40%.
We are grateful to the The Møller Centre-CHURCHILL COLLEGE, Cambridge, United Kingdom, for hosting this conference. Also, we would like to express our gratitude to the Chairs, Program Committee, External Reviewers, Organizing Committee and the keynote speakers for their wonderful work and efforts. Finally, we would like to thank all the participants and sponsors hoping to meet them soon for other collaboration in scientific events.
