Abstract : The frieze of the piece of entablature for a long time re-used inside the church of Beaujeu (Rhône), which depicts a sacrificial scene, has been thoroughly studied and was given a more precise interpretation. In the other hand, the dating of the block is still not established. But the rich ornamentation covering all the components of the entablature makes it easier, and it can be attached to the legacy of the urban productions of the Domitian period.
