Rational modeling of interconnect networks using multi-parameter Kautz functions

Abstract

Time and frequency-domain macromodeling tools are important for efficiently simulating complex physical structures. In this paper, the authors present a new approach to low order macromodeling based on n-pole Kautz functions. The described method is a fast, iterative technique that avoids direct solving of large linear problems. Macromodeling of interconnect networks is an immediate application.
