The content of this article, which is quite unprecedented for La Bretagne Linguistique, is intended to provide an immediate response to the compulsory liquidation of the Emgleo Breiz publishing house in November 2015. Emgleo Breiz has been one of the main actors in the promotion of Breton and a major pillar in Breton language publishing for the past six decades. Often perceived as a kind of literary school for Breton, Emgleo Breiz made a point of always using the vernacular. By publishing the works of a large number of authors, many of whom were recognised as key writers, it made a distinct and singular contribution to the influence of Breton-language literature.
D’un contenu assez inédit pour La Bretagne Linguistique, cet article se propose de revenir « à chaud » sur la cessation de paiement puis la liquidation judiciaire de la maison d’édition Emgleo Breiz en novembre 2015. Pendant 60 ans, Emgleo Breiz a été un des principaux acteurs de la promotion du breton et un pôle majeur et innovant de l'édition en langue bretonne. Souvent perçu comme une forme d'école littéraire, Emgleo Breiz a constamment tenu à se référer à la langue populaire. En éditant les œuvres d’un grand nombre d’auteurs, dont plusieurs sont reconnus comme des écrivains de référence, il a apporté une contribution différente et singulière au rayonnement de la littérature de langue bretonne.
