Abstract : Abundantly filmed after the Great War by the bourgeois part of a society more and more attracted by the bathing tropism, the littoral of amateur cameramen mainly appears like an enclosed territory protected from external glances and intrusions. A place of private bliss under the gaze of cameramen preoccupied with the generation of a visual memory, the littoral was ossified in a production which always suggested the perpetuation of a social order that crowned the existence of rigid hierarchies.
