Abstract : Both problems of blind direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) signals despreading and synchronization are much more demanding, what becomes much more challenging. Focussing on long spreading sequence DS-CDMA signals, we extend the Maximum Eigenvalue Behavior (MEVB) based synchronization criterion previously proposed for the short code case. Theoretical analysis prove that the MEVB-based criterion is a powerful tool for blind long codes synchronization and may be effectively applied to the multiuser case as shown through simulation results.
