Time Of Chip Estimation for an UWB System with Pulse Position Modulation

Abstract : The transition from analog to digital cellular communications, the rise of third and fourth-generation radio systems, and the replacement of wired connections with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabling consumers to access a wide range of information from anywhere and at any time. In this paper it is presented an algorithm for the estimation of the most important parameter of an ultra wideband transmission, the chip time. The study was made for a particular type of system which is the pulse position modulation ultra wideband system.
