Self-Mixing Interferometry System for in Vitro Retinal Capillary Network Characterization
Résumé
We present a self-mixing interferometric (SMI) system for velocity analysis in microfluidic chips designed to mimic the structure of natural vessels. These biomimetic chips, fabricated using backside lithography with optical diffusers, replicate in vivo structures such as retinal vessels. The SMI system demonstrates a strong correlation in extracting fluid velocity across channel networks, enabling detailed flow analysis. This non-invasive approach advances hemodynamics research, providing precise measurements without the need for bulky setups or labeled particles.
