Welcome to the HCTI HAL collectionThe HCTI, Héritage et Création dans le Texte et l'Image (EA 4249) laboratory was created in 2008. Directed by Camille Manfredi, it comprises a team of 50 full members - 41 in Brest and 9 in Lorient - and around 20 PhD students, researchers in the Arts, Letters and Languages fields, who explore the ways in which cultures are inherited and constructed, drawing on diverse corpora - textual, digital, iconographic and filmic - from Antiquity to the 21st century. As the team's name suggests, the laboratory offers various types of expertise in the analysis and processing of text and image, such as caricature, with the publication of the journal Ridiculosa, sociability in France and England during the Enlightenment, kitsch, studies of series and cinema, and discourse in the media. |
